This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Curaçao Automation ("we", "us", "our") collects through curacaoautomation.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. By using the Site you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
Curaçao Automation provides web design, custom portals, business process automation, and website performance services in Curaçao and the wider Caribbean. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@curacaoautomation.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- When you book a call: your name; your email address and/or phone number; your company name (optional); the service you're interested in; and your preferred contact method and time.
- When you run the website speed test: your email address and the website URL you ask us to analyze.
Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as your IP address and request details, used to keep the Site secure and to prevent abuse (rate limiting). Standard server logs may be generated by our hosting provider. We do not process payment card details through the Site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of data.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and to schedule and confirm your consultation call.
- To run the speed test you request and email you the results.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing spam and abuse.
- To send you follow-up communications relating to your enquiry. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time (see "Your rights").
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on taking steps at your request, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and securing the Site, and your consent where applicable.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Site and deliver our services:
- Google (Calendar, Sheets, OAuth, and PageSpeed Insights) — to schedule bookings, record enquiry details, and run website speed tests.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Upstash — rate limiting to protect the Site from abuse.
- Zoho — sending transactional emails (booking confirmations and speed-test results).
These providers may process data on servers outside Curaçao (including in the United States and the European Union). We share only what is necessary for each provider to perform its function.
5. International transfers
Because we rely on the providers above, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Curaçao. We take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected in line with this Policy.
6. Data retention
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a reasonable record of our dealings, and speed-test lead information for as long as needed to follow up, after which we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side handling of all credentials, access controls, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Cookies
The public Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. A single secure, essential cookie is set only when the site owner signs into the private admin area — never for ordinary visitors. Fonts are loaded from Google's font network so the Site displays correctly.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to our use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@curacaoautomation.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version, and material changes will be reflected here.
